Who doesn't love a great 'burger' cooked on the grill and topped with all the fixins? I received an e-mail today from Whole Foods Market that I thought was worth sharing. They've included recipes for Garden Veggie Burgers, Lentil Walnut Burgers, Mediterranean Veggie Burgers, Portobello and Pineapple Teriyaki Burgers, Red Pepper Basil Bean Burgers, Gingery Quinoa Sweet Potato Burgers, and White Bean and Almond Burgers. Some of the recipes include oils and I noticed one has an egg. Simply omit the oils, and use an egg replacer (such as 1 TBS flax seed blended with 3 TBS water until frothy).
They all sound delicious, but since I have basil ready to pick, the Red Pepper Basil Bean Burger may be my first experiment. If you try any of these, I'd love to hear about it!
