Rather than making an overnight change to whole food, plant-based eating, the Transition Approach provides a 5-week suggested guide for those who prefer to make gradual dietary changes. Small amounts of certain animal products are temporarily allowed to remain in the diet, but this is only recommended for people who already enjoy excellent health, and only for a short time.
