If you had the chance to attend a weekend event where you would have fun, eat delicious food, and learn how to begin (or enhance) cooking a healthy, plant-based diet, which of the following activities would be highest on your priority list?

Please choose your favorites from the below list, then rank them in order of interest (with your highest interest listed first). Spell them out in a reply to this post; there's no need to list them all, only your favorites. You can also email me privately at [email protected]. The thought of offering such weekend retreats in sunny Florida is on my radar. Your feedback will be greatly appreciated and will help me determine the most helpful things to offer. Thank you!

    Cooking demos
    Batch Cooking
    Morning exercise session

I think watching videos/presentations is something that can be done at a time other than when at a seminar for a weekend. I like live presentations.

Thanks for sharing that! You’re right, it does make more sense to offer live presos. Great insight!

I like them all plus Devotionals. At the top of my list would be how to batch cook and reading mini labels class!!

Some of those things I don’t feel like I need personally because I’ve been eating this way for 5 years (like grocery store tour, reading labels and watching a documentary) but all would be invaluable for someone just starting out or interested in starting! So, I say all of them. I will say that I went to a seminar when I first started which was put on by a cardiologist and it was way over my head (and I’m in the medical field). They served a plant-based meal too which wasn’t very good. I have friends who went and ended up stopping for a hamburger on the way home, swearing the could never eat like that. This whole thing just needs to be SIMPLE AND TASTY. That’s the key!

I sure appreciate the insights, Linda! Quick meals that are delicious will definitely be on the menu 🙂

I like them all too! I would limit time on watching video. Maybe send out information and video prior to attending. I tend to like live instruction. Short slides to incorporate views would be fine also.

Good idea! Based on your comment plus other feedback with a similar view, the documentaries will be off the agenda. Makes perfect sense, thank you!

I feel I’m pretty well grounded in many of the topics below but that doesn’t mean I couldn’t glean valuable info from any of them. If the gathering consists of many newly enlightened converts, these topics would be a gold mine of important info for them.
