Good news for anyone with Type 2 diabetes

September 13, 2018 By Cyd Notter

Eric Adams, a borough President in Brooklyn, New York, had diabetes so severe that he was losing his eyesight and the feeling in his legs.

After stumbling upon the benefits of a plant-based diet and changing his diet, he completely reversed his condition in only three months. Now he's telling everyone he can that there's an answer for those suffering from crippling chronic conditions.

Read Eric's story here, and share with anyone you know struggling with Type 2 diabetes.

Type 2 diabetes is caused by FAT, not sugar. Even the American Diabetes Association recognizes that fact as true.

The good news is that this disease is completely reversible! By adopting a low-fat, plant-based diet, the fat in your cells will melt away and restore cell function to normal, once again allowing the glucose in your blood to get into its intended cells. No more need to "manage" diabetes.

Good News for Diabetics

March 29, 2018 By Cyd Notter

I've been sitting in on some webinars lately which featured the topic of Type 2 Diabetes, and the evidence continues to show that conventional treatment is not the best way to go. Here are a few highlights of the information:

      • High blood sugar is not a disease - it's a SYMPTOM of the underlying problem, which is fat. Sugar, carbs, and fruits do not cause diabetes. It's caused when the muscle cells are compromised with fat, and the insulin can no longer penetrate the cell to allow glucose to leave the bloodstream and enter the cells. (Note: While obesity definitely contributes to diabetes, even thin people can be affected due to this type of fat).
      • Diabetics are at increased risk for lots of other health issues as well, including nerve damage, kidney disease, and a much higher risk of heart disease - just to name a few.
      • The medications prescribed for Type 2 Diabetes today are treating a symptom while contributing to a list of other problems. Weight gain (which makes diabetes even worse) and accelerated aging are just two. Excess insulin is just as bad as the high glucose levels. The Accord Study shows that people have a higher risk of death when given intensive insulin treatment.
      • Even Type 1 Diabetes who are producing no insulin can greatly lower the amount of medication needed for treatment with dietary change. Check out this website for details. You can read more about Type 2 Diabetes on my website here.

Why MANAGE this disease when you can get rid of it by switching to a delicious plant-based diet? If you or a loved one suffer from diabetes, please don't wait.

  • Whatever you do—whether you eat or drink or not—do it all to the glory of God!

Diabetes – “Manage” or Reverse?

August 21, 2016 By Cyd Notter

Do you or a loved suffer with Type 2 Diabetes?  or have you been told you have "insulin-resistant" cells?  Have you tried to compensate for the cell's resistance by limiting your starch and sugar intake, with the idea that too much carbohydrate leads to too much glucose?

If so, you will be relieved to know that a dietary pattern of all-you-can eat whole grains, beans, fruits, nuts, and vegetables (including starches such as potatoes, rice and pasta) has long been established to effectively and naturally lower A1C levels to normal ranges in a short amount of time.

The American Diabetes Association’s Clinical Practice Recommendations have cited the value of whole, plant food diets for Type 2 diabetes for several years. And here’s an added bonus, according to registered dietitian Susan Levin, M.S., R.D., who says “A diet change beats a pill.  A plant-based diet improves blood sugar, body weight, blood pressure and cholesterol all at the same time, something no drug can do.”  So why “manage” diabetes when the chances our very high that it can be eliminated?
